UIC will confer Honorary Fellowships on four prominent individuals in the fields of academia, media and literature this year.

They will be the former President of City University of Hong Kong and former Chairman of the Cultural and Heritage Commission of Hong Kong Prof Chang Hsin-Kang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Limited Liu Changle, Augsburg College President Dr Paul C Pribbenow, and famous writer and former Minister of Culture of China Wang Meng.

The Honorary Fellowship is an honour bestowed on distinguished contributors to the mission of UIC for their sustained commitment to the development of education and society.

Presided over by Prof Jialu Xu, Chairman of the UIC Council and former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the 7th Graduation Ceremony and Honorary Fellowship Conferment will be held on 27 June at UIC.

UIC confers its Honorary Fellowships last year

As the first college co-founded by educational institutions between Hong Kong and mainland China, UIC conferred its first Honorary Fellowships in 2012, keeping up with Hong Kong Baptist University’s tradition.
