Dr Polly Suk-Yee Cheung Dr Polly Suk-Yee Cheung completed her medical education in the 1970s at the University of Hong Kong. She subsequently received surgical training in general surgery at the University of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital as well as specialty training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery at the University of Michigan. Over the past decades, while practising as a breast cancer specialist in both public and private sectors, Dr Cheung has always taken the leading role to bring in new ideas and innovative professional practices for the advancement of breast cancer medical profession in Hong Kong. Dr Cheung devotes herself wholeheartedly to raising public awareness of the importance of breast cancer healthcare and education. She was awarded the “Outstanding Woman Professional” by the Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association in 1999.

Ms Dong Mingzhu Ms Dong Mingzhu is the Chairman of the Board and President of Gree Electric Appliance Inc. of Zhuhai. Her efforts in improving the quality of the Chinese household appliances industry won her numerous honours. In 2014, Ms Dong was invited to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting as an MBA instructor. In 2015, she served as Member of Experts Committee of the 13th Five Year Plan by National Development and Reform Commission. She was named by the United Nations “Ambassador of Sustainable Urban Development” and Chairperson on duty for the “Commission on Sustainable Development”. In addition, from 2004 to 2016, she was listed ten times in the “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune, which in 2016 ranked her 11th. In 2013, she was recognized as one of the “Best-Performing CEOs in the World” by Harvard Business Review, being the only Chinese woman in the list.

Prof He Xiantu Prof He Xiantu is a professor in Peking University. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the Department of Physics in Zhejiang University in 1962. Soon after that, he joined the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics in Beijing. In 1995 he was elected as a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the highest accolade for scientists in China. He is also the Director of the Center for Applied Physics and Technology in Peking University. Prof He’s most important contribution to China is that he led a team of scientists to successfully develop China’s own Inertial Confinement Fusion technology, which allowed China to develop its nuclear and neutron weapons.

Prof Martin Stringer Professor Martin Stringer is Pro-Vice-Chancellor Academic of Social Science, Arts and Humanities at Swansea University. As a key member of the Swansea University senior management team, he has won the Times Higher Education Outstanding Leadership and Management Team award for 2016. Before joining the Swansea University, he had been at the University of Birmingham for twenty-three years as the Head of Theology and Religion, Head of the College of Arts and Law in addition to being the Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor. An internationally renowned scholar on the anthropology of religion, Professor Stringer is widely recognized as a leading expert in sociological studies of religious discourses and practices.

Mr Heinrich Wang Mr Heinrich Wang is a renowned artist and successful entrepreneur who began his career in a variety of fields of art. After completing his study at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, USA, Mr Wang founded the first glass workshop in Taiwan, and started his career in glass art and teaching. In 1994, Mr Wang established a company dedicated to modern Chinese glass art called Tittot. In order to promote communication in art across the Strait, Mr Wang founded the first crystal glass museum in mainland China in 1998, which was also the first in greater China. Mr Wang took another step to realize his lifelong dream of renovating the Chinese art of porcelain. In 2003, Mr Wang founded the modern porcelain brand “NewChi.” As his concept and design are well perceived and recognized by the world, his porcelain works, like his glass works, have become part of worldwide collections by celebrities.
