Mr. Dai Yuqiang

Mr. Dai Yuqiang is a Chinese operatic tenor. He was the first and only Chinese student of Luciano Pavarotti. With Wei Song and Hong Kong born Warren Mok, he has performed abroad as “China’s Three Tenors.”

 

 

 

Mr. Tim LUI Tim-Leung, BBS, JP

Mr. Tim LUI Tim-Leung, BBS, JP, is a prominent Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the Senior Advisor of PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong and the Deputy to the 12th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China. In 2016, he was the guest speaker at the high table dinner at the College.

 

 

Prof. Ouyang Ziyuan

Prof. Ouyang Ziyuan is a Chinese cosmochemist, geochemist and space advocate. He is a research professor at the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Ouyang is now the chief scientist of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program (CLEP), also known as the Chang’e program. He is the most prominent supporter of the Chinese manned lunar exploration program, and also lobbies for the Chinese exploration of Mars. He gave a lecture on “China’s Dream in Lunar Exploration” at UIC in 2015.

 

 

Prof. Sir John Meurig THOMAS

Sir John Meurig Thomas has been Honorary Professor of Materials Science at the University of Cambridge and Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the Davy Faraday Research Laboratory of the Royal Institution. He has been elected to honorary membership in over fifteen foreign academies, including the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, etc.
